KB comes from a long line of French-Canadian raconteurs. Her ancestors told stories around cookstoves and North Country logging camps in the 1700s. And they continued to tell the tales of bear and loup-garou as they migrated south to New England. KB was raised on those tales, and it was obvious from an early age that her lifelong habit of reading was always going to lead to writing.
She writes historical fiction and contemporary fiction for young readers and adults.
KB studied for her M.F.A. at Simmons University and believes obsessive readers make the best writers.
When KB’s not creating stories, she’s hiking or biking somewhere in New England.
